The Trolls

The nomadic Trolls were seeking refuge in this wasteland they called home, from the relentless Humans pursuing them.  Any Troll knows that the Humans are a short-sighted, zealous people. Particularly their ruler the nefarious King David Brownswick . The Troll people are being hunted so the Humans can seize their resources.  The Human's methods to conquer were cruel and inhumane.
The Trolls were a peaceful people until the Humans discovered their lands. When the war between the two races broke out, the Trolls switched from Shamans to Warriors to fight the Humans and protect future generations. But this war has lasted many generations and few Trolls even know what their people once stood for.
As a particular Troll Tribe knows as the "Seewaka" found a cave refuge they began planning how they would protect their Tribe from extinction.
"We can't keep defending the Zawahoo Tribe they haven't sent reinforcements for months." said one Troll.
"Those selfish bastards can't expect us to keep defending them without their aid." said the other.
"We should just grab our Axes and force the Cheiftan to tell us wh-"
Then a colorfully decorated Staff flew in front of the protesting Troll.
"We cannot win this war with sheer brawn" said the Cheiftan emerging from his temporary chamber.
"I have full faith in the Zawahoo Tribe has a plan to enhance our advantage against the gluttonous pink-skins. The Humans have strong iron clad armor. But the Zawahoo Tribe is working on a way to penetrate their armor and make it a hinderance. They just need more time." creaked the old Cheiftan.
"But how much time can we still provide? Is our Tribe's extinction really worth defending this project that they won't even tell us anything about!?" snapped the first Troll.
"The Zawahoo have never failed us before, even before the war they were very reliable. Things you young Trolls wouldn't understand."
       The next morning the Seewaka Tribe stood at the battlefield waiting for another Human wave. The Trolls were much tougher skinned than Humans so they survived more often so you could identify a Troll veteran by his scars, scrapes, and cuts.
       The Humans on horseback climbed over the horizon. The Trolls began screaming battle cries in their vernacular language. As the Humans rode close the trolls threw their axes at the crowd peppering them down and then the Troll ran in to retrieve their axes. The real fight began as the battle field became a scattered mess of Trolls and Humans each with their own individual target.
       The only thing Trolls and Humans shared was a code of honor. Teaming up on a single target broke it.
The battle raged on for hours with battle cries and death screams. But a horn sounded from a distance then Trolls riding on the backs of Buffalo came in. Their face paint identified them as members of the Zawahoo Tribe. The weapons they waved in the air glowed green. They ran in and engaged Humans that lacked a target.
       The Zawahoo wielded short swords unlike the Seewaka's  axes. With their glowing swords the Zawahoo warriors cut staright through the Human's plate armor LITTERALLY as if it was not there. Not a clean cut but it phased through the armor and rended the Human's skin.
       This invention tipped the scales majorly in the Troll's favor for now the Human's armor had no benefit.  A Human's skin is very soft unlike a Troll's the armor also makes a Human considerably slower so now the Armor is a defect not a benefit.
       As the Humans called a retreat when the noticed their numbers declining rapidly. The Trolls quickly pursued the retreating enemy. This broke no code of honor because you don't have to accept a surrender if they are invading you territory.
       Today the Trolls were victorious and with this new weapon there would be more victories to come. But King David Brownswick doesn't give up and the Humans are as proficient as Trolls when it came to making new technologies. Did he delinate a new weapon?
       Is it possible that Trolls won't win and be Effaced? We may never know for this is the most recent Troll document. Perhaps we may never know. The fate of the Trolls.
